Back in January, we received a call from recently married man Paul about wanting to book a studio portrait shoot as a gift for his now mother-in-law’s 50th birthday.
Paul wanted a memorable moment of this great achievement and blessing of his mother-in-law turning 50, to be cherished and remembered for years to come, and for this reason, he gave us the opportunity with doing exactly this!
On the day of the shoot, the birthday lady came prepared with a lot of enthusiasm. Coming along with her lovely husband and daughter Lisa for support, we set up, (with help from David and Tayler from Tayler Thuong Photography, whom I’d kindly asked to assist me on the day) and got shooting.
Having established the right lighting I was happy with, our attention soon switched to the music I was playing at the studio and it became apparent my choice of music was poor and not exciting enough to get birthday mum going. Lisa’s suggestion of some Afro-beat music became a game changer in getting birthday mum to settle in and feel at home.
Cutting a great story short, we had a great shoot, filled with many laughters and a conclusive calm and happy moment and a happy client.
We couldn’t be happier with getting to shoot such an important day in the life of Mrs Steele, on her 50th birthday and we believe we’ve captured some amazing and memorable moments of this special moment in her life to be cherished for years to come.
