🌳HELP US SECURE LAND FOR ELEPHANTS!!!! 🌳

A stunning piece of land approx 10 Rai (4 acres) in a great location has become available. The owner has not been able to use it for a few crop seasons and has decided to sell. We have been talking with the owner for a number of weeks now. Today we have met with the village chief of that area to discuss our plans and he seems very impressed and wishes us all the best.

We got a chance to see the land by foot today and it's perfect, but absolutely covered in wild spinach and lots of thorns/spikey plants. Even the cows that are feeding by the river dont want to go in too deep, because they get spiked. Luckily Mae Kam LOVES wild spinach, and she will probably be very happy to help with clearing the area 😉 Once the area is clear we can plant banana trees, native trees along the border and in the forest, grass a long the rivers edge and recycle the wood from the old hut in the pictures to build an observation/rest hut and have more space for the eles. The best part is that this land links on to a large area of forest. This forest is around 300 acres, surrounded by small farm lands and on the other side is BEES. By purchasing this land we hope to be able to preserve and protect the forest, where our elephants roam. BEES are not able to own the forest as it is Government owned and community shared, but the community so kindly allow the elephants to roam there.

Sadly, a local has started to clear forest land illegally. The more farm land in our immediate area we can buy, that is surrounding the forest, the more forest we can protect.

HELP US CREATE MORE SAFE PLACES FOR ELEPHANTS AND WILDLIFE!

We MUST act fast, so that the owner doesn't change his mind.

The owner has not yet agreed to a deposit at this time - 7/06/2018, but would like to sell to BEES as long as he gets the asking price of 300,000THB/12,270AUD/9,383USD/7,011GBP which is very reasonable for this location!

🐘Please, please for the love of elephants, donate if you can, share far and wide and help us secure this area and keep it protected for elephants and wildlife!
